Every corner of the Japanese-style interior is designed to give you a sense of wabi-sabi.
Philosophy of tea
The tea room is devised to cut off the saba feeling.
The road to the Zen temple's tea room is winding. Cross the stepping stones and it's the furthest place from the entrance.
The entrance is entered by crawling through a small crawlway.
The sword is a symbol of power and a sign of one's status.
We therapists must not discriminate against customers based on their status.
I want you to stop being shy and focus on your body right now.
Tanagokoro (palm)
The word chiropractic is derived from the Greek word for “hand (chiro)” (practicus).
Tanagokoro means the palm of the hand, and was originally called the heart of the hand.
We receive a lot of information from the palm of our hands. Also, there is something that customers can convey to the palm of their hand.
If you rub the other person's back with the palm of your hand or gently stroke the painful area, the pain will miraculously ease and the anger will subside.
In the 5th century B.C., Hippocrates, the father of medicine, is said to have healed people by placing his hands on their wounds.
From this situation, the word treatment was born.
It has the meaning of embracing you with your heart and treating you with compassion.
たなごころ（掌）
カイロプラクティックの語源はギリシャ語で手（カイロ）で施す（プラクティコス）の造語です。
たなごころは手の平のことで、もともとは「手の心」
私たちは手のひらから沢山の情報を受け取ります。又、お客様も手のひら伝わるものがあります。
手の平で相手の背中をさすったり痛いところを優しく撫でたりすると不思議と痛みが和らいだり怒りが収まったりします。
紀元前5世紀、医療の父ヒポクラテスは人の患部に手をあてることで、人を癒したと言います。
その様子から手当てという言葉が生まれました。
たなごころで包み込み、思いやりの心をもって接する意味を込めました。
間伐材
当院の柱を観てもらうと節だらけ、ひび、虫食いの痕が目立ちます。これら全て間伐材です。
森は植林されたまま放置されると、枯れ山となります。森も光を当てる為、風を通す為に木を伐採するなど人の手によって管理することで、保水力が戻り、水はろ過され綺麗な水が川へ流れます。豊かな生態系が育まれ、森は蘇るのです。
森の管理の為に伐採された木を間伐材といいます。しかし、この間伐材の利用先がなく、間伐が行われなくなりました。住宅などに使われる木材は見た目が綺麗なものばかりです。
新しい施術院を創るのに、なるべく環境に配慮したかったのです。
個性だらけの柱たち、彼らの醸し出す味は綺麗な木材には出すことはできません。
床柱
奥の茶室には二本の床柱があります。もちろん間伐材です。
捻じれた木、ここには藤の蔓が絡まっていました。木は一番外の皮との内側で栄養の循環をしています。ここに蔓が絡まるということは、人間では首を絞められた状態です。もしぐるりと一周回っていたならば、この木は死んでしまいます。この木は必死に生きようともがき、捻じれたのです。本来なら虫に強い木ですが、頭の方は虫に喰われて荒々しい姿、藤の蔓の影響で栄養が上手く行き届かなかったのでしょう。それでも真っ直ぐ生き抜いた生き様、その証なのです。
隣の木は真っ直ぐ白く綺麗な木です。
実はこの２本は同じ檜（ひのき）の木です。
どちらが真の檜でしょうか？
色も形も違う、しかし、どちらも檜なのです。
ひのきの一生
床柱の檜との出会いから、この木が少しでも長く生きられるように施術院をデザインしました。その中でも5つの窓には檜の一生をテーマに絵作家の谷苑子様に白い線だけで描いて頂きました。
冬から始まる物語で、檜のキャラクターの成長が描かれております。時間や季節、天候によりこの絵の見え方が変わります。皆様はどんな色が見えますか？
